Using Database Trace Listener in Logging Application Block

Topics: Logging Application Block

Hello,
I am getting the following error when attempting to write to my database log via the logging application block:

Could not load type 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.Database.Configuration.FormattedDatabaseTraceListenerAssembler' from assembly 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.Database, Version=2.9.9.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

I have loaded these assemblies:
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.Database

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

Thanks.

You need to make sure you have two other assemblies:

Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder.dll
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.dll

ObjectBuilder is used by EnterpriseLibrary to assemble objects and the Logging Application Block uses the Data Access Application Block to log to the database.

Regards,

Dave
