Hi,

Let me just clarify the question. Are you asking if it is possible that the ent lib would have the facility to have your provided username and password be checked against a active directory? Is my understanding correct?

Hi,

I think its no longer in the scope of the ent lib. My understanding about where the credential may be checked against varies in the setup of your smtp server. One scenario is that when your smtp server is hosted in IIS and that smtp server connects to exchange server, typically the check of credential will be against the active directory.

Thanks Valiant ..

Consider the above senario itself .

Is it totally depending on the setup of the smtp server?

For that what should be set to connect smtp server to Exchange server so that it validate againest Active directory.

For this nothing is required to update in configuration?

(asking this even it is not related to ent lib).

Thanks,

Madhu.
