Can someone direct me to an example that follows good practices for implementing a "log in" page that uses validation and encryption for usernames and passwords? The searches I've conducted have yielded nothing but "logging" examples. Is there a better key phrase than "log in" to use?

I found the ASP.NET login controls. This will work for my purposes.
