Viewing the errors/audits resuilts in database

We have built a kicking Logging infrastructure (Errors, Audits, Traces, Instrumentation, etc..) using Enterprise Library.  Now our business useres are asking if we can provide reports on the data.  Like how many Errors on a given machine, etc.

We are using the default DB schema used by the DatabaseTraceListener.

Is there any sample code showing ideas how to generate such reports?

This article shows some XML generated reports (see bottom of article)

Obviously we can wire up what ever we want with SSRS or Crystal Reports, but if Enterprise Library provides some form of reporting (even if rudamentary) that may be all we need.

Thanks

Jess

Hi,

With what comes out-of-the-box of Enterprise Library there is no built in functionality for reporting or retrieving logs from the database. What you can do is to implement your own component to handle this requirement or the other options you've mention.
