VAB Memory Usage

I am using the VAB block with the ASP.NET validation proxy to validate my web forms and business objects.  The we have a lot of rules which has inflated our web.config by 200K which I believe is ok.

After using a Memory profiler I have found that my web application uses 100 MB less if I take out the the VAB rules from the web.config, it appears that there is some kind of memory leak with the VAB block as it loads the VAB rules into memory on every page request.

Has anyone else experience this?  I have used ANTS profiler to find this for example:

Total Application Memory Usage Reported by ANTS taken at 3 Snapshot points

With the VAB rules in the web.config
Login page 1MB
After login 8MB
Move to my Homepage 55MB

Without VAB rules in the web.config
Login page 1MB
After login 1.5MB
Home Page 11MB

Has anyone else experienced this?  Is there a fix before I start looking through the VAB code to work out where the leak is.

We found the memory leak after further analysis, it is not the VAB block.
