Connection State management using Enterprise library

Hi,

I am new to entlib, i want to know how the connection state is manage by entlib, if i want to develop a project which can be access by thousands of users is it better to use entlib data access block? is it manages opening and closing of connections automatically? 

Please explain me in detail....

Thanks a lot, i got the answer to my question, please explain me some good pratices while using data access block as i am new to this, so that when so many users using my site it wont give performance problems.

Data Access Application Block has already incorporated some of the best practices.  In the end, the performance would still depends on how optimized your query is, and also how you set up your database (indexing, clustering, etc).
