Hello,

I am new to Enterprise Library, I have downloaded Enterprise Library 5.0 and find it difficult to be started on 5.0.

The problem is that I think that there is not enough materiel available for new comers on EntLib 5.0 like Hands on Labs etc.

My question what is being suggested for the new comer to start working on 5.0 or 4.2?

Thanks.

The Hands on Labs and Quickstarts will be released when the final version is out.  There are things that could change from Beta to the final 5.0 version.  I think you could refer first in the 4.1 materials.  The main difference that is readily visible to the user would be the config tool UI.  In terms of API changes, there won't be much breaking changes.  There are things that changed in terms of how objects can be created but EntLib 5 is also designed for backward compatibility.

We're also working on the Entlib dev guide which will provide a much, much smoother onramp. We have a preview up at http://entlib.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=EntLib5%20Developer%20Notes&referringTitle=Home if you'd like to take a look.

Hi lostasif,

Just would like to give you an update that the entlib team has already released the C# code samples for the developers guide and can be downloaded here http://entlib.codeplex.com/releases/view/46741#DownloadId=140302.

Happy coding :-)
