Failed to complete setup of assembly: Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.DLL

Topics: Data Access Application Block

I am having trouble publishing a web site. When initially published, the site it works correctly. After 20-30 minutes I get the below error. Changing any file in the directory will allow it to run again for another 20-30 minutes.

Any thoughts?

Did you get an answer to this ? We have the exact same issue with the exception logging block - we originally thought this WAS a dependecny issue and copied in the entlib assemblies directly into the bin folder from a working copy of our applicaiton and this worked for a period of time until the following morning when the app pool had probably been recycled and it then reverted back to the error state.

To be honest we tried so many different things I am not sure why it stopped throwing errors. The application in our case was upgraded from vs2003 to vs2005 and the errors were directly related the timeout for the session. However, changing the session timeout did not help.

Eventually one of our interns wiped out the web.config file with the vs2008 defaults during an upgrade and the problem went away. If you want more details let me know.

Thanks!

If you have any further details that would be very much appreciated as this resulted in a rollback of new hardware into production. Many thanks.
