Storing machine/user configuration using Enterprise library 3.1

Is there a simple way to create a xml configuration file that would store settings specific to a single machine or for a specific user. I never used enteprise library (except for the validation block). I want to be able to encrypt the configuration information. I guess this is something that is covered by the enterprise library but I can't seem to find a good forum to get the answers I need. Thanks for the help.

A code example would be great.

Hi,

EntLib's config builds on top of the .NET framework's configuration features, so it's there where you should be looking for these features you need.

Machine-wide settings typically belong to the machine.config file, and you can have application-specific user settings by using the ApplicationSettings introduced with .NET 2.0 (see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/k4s6c3a0.aspx). Note that EntLib does use the latter.
