Hi,

Among different providers like AuthorizationRuleProvider, AzMan Provider, or CustomRuleProvider which one should be used for SQL Server 2005?
I wanted to use Security Application Block with SQL server as a storage instead of xml.
SQL server has roles, task and operation information just like AzMan.

Hi,

There is no such provider out of the box. You will have to get a third party implementation or code your own.

Your best bet is to use the App Block SF to do the heavy lifting for you (setting up the factory infrastructure and the design time support). Regarding the actual implementation of the authorization API, I have no idea what it takes to use SQL Server's security objects; that's what you will have to provide.
