Event Log is empty in production!

Been trying to get errors/warnings written to a custom event log. I've been using EntLib for a few years and always wondered why I would get a message about a missing DLL in the beginning of my event log message.

With the new version I noticed that the message was gone when I ran local so I deployed to my development test server. Now, nothing writes to the event log file at all. Here is my config file...

What am I missing here?

I have added all the DLL's to the GAC on my dev machine and the server.

I just switched my config file to write to the application log and my messages are being written. What are the specifics in setting up a custom event log? I've never had to set permissions specifically, where would I do that - in the registry or the system32 directory?

I had the same problem and saw a post that fixed my problem.
I have a custom event log already set up. When I point to that log, I got nothing, When I point to Application I get logging. In another post, it says he fixed his problem by matching the Source from the event log. What do you know, this worked for me.

So here comes the next part, is there a way for the entlib to create custom Event Logs and Sources if they don't exist?
