Where are the SQL scripts to create the database objects required for logging to the database in the EntLib 3.1 release? I found a thread that showed where they where in the Jan 2006 release. Hopefully, these are included with all releases.

Hi,

They are included, but as part of the source drop. You have to install the source code and you'll find the script and a batch file to execute it under "App Blocks\Src\Logging\TraceListeners\Database\Scripts".

Thanks. I found the script file. I couldn't find where the script was even mentioned in the documentation or on MSDN.

How about logging to a diferent database? What should be done in that DB?

In the above mentioned directory you will find "LoggingDatabase.sql". This sql does everything to prepare a SQL Database for logging. By default it uses the table "Logging" (if it does not exist it creates a new one). Just have a look there and you find everything what needs to be done in your individual database.
