Hi,

How do i configure Entlib Cache to work for 2 windows applications at the same time. I want a single cache object to work for both the applications.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

The only way that I know for 2 application to share the same cache is to use database backing store with the same partition name. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd139948.aspx - please see the Scenario Two: Shared Partition. See if this is what you're looking for.

Hi,

Thanks for this. I am looking for an option that can suffice multiple databases.

I have 2 windows applications that work on the same system. All i require is both share the data on the cache and any changes to the cache is reflected on both the applications.

Thanks and Regards

This is not supported by the entlib cache. Sharing the backing store will only work with the database store (since the database handles concurrent access), and even then, as noted in the docs, changes to the store do not propagate down to the individual cache managers.
