Database trace listener

Hello guys,

I would like to know how enterprise library 4.1 manages the size of the log when configured to use a database trace listener. Is there a threshold or does the table grows until filling up the disk? I have search for the answer in the documentation and on the web without any luck.

Thanks for any attention.

Yes, it isn't documented so I just checked the source code.  There's no threshold or size management of the log entries.

Thanks a lot for the information Sarah.

It's odd that there are no provisions in that regard isn't it?

Well, it's possible that the expectation was that you'll just limit the maximum size of the database itself.  The LAB is supposed to send a log entry to tracelisteners specified under the Logging Errors and Warnings saying that logging to the database failed.
