Build Error while using EntLib + xaml in a project of VS2010 Beta 1

Hello,

I have a wpf-library for .Net3.5 that im trying to upgrade to .Net4 for testing purposes. So I created a new Project in VS2010Beta1, linked all classfiles, import all references and try to compile. But then I get an compiler-error:

c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.20506\Microsoft.WinFX.targets(293,9): error MC1000: Unknown build error, 'Binary format of the specified custom attribute was invalid.'

After some research I know that I get this error if inside the prohject is a xaml file and the project contains a reference to the enterprise library. If I delete the xaml-file -> it compiles, if I delete the reference to enterprise library -> it compiles. Only if I have both inside the project -> compilation fails.

Can anybody confirm this behaviour? Are there any tweaks outside?

I'm using VS2010Beta1 VSTS on Vista x64

Thanks Stefan

It's a known issue with VS2010 Beta 1. I reported it here on this forum just after beta 1 was released. Basically, entlib projects (and quite a few others that use custom attributes) won't work in .NET 4.0 beta 1. This bug will be fixed for beta 2.
