TimeStamp column in Traces table

Can you please help me clarify which of the following values is captured in the TimeStamp column?
  1. The time when the WriteEvent method is called.
  2. The time at which the message was pushed into queue (pending to be written).
  3. The current time in DB when the record is inserted.
Or any other value?

Thanks,

For the in-process scenario the TimeStamp column contains the time when the Event Written event was received by the subscriber. For the out of process scenario the TimeStamp is the timestamp of the TraceEvent which is the time the event occurred (which I believe is the time the event was initially received by ETW).

Both of these are closest to #1 in your list.
