Validation Handler Bug since Ent Lib 3.0?

Hello,

I have been struggling to get validation handler (as an attribute or from config) to work for a few days now in Ent Lib 4.1. Finally I came across this post by David Hayden pointing out a bug in Ent Lib 3.0 with validation handlers and Interface interception. Following his work around I finally got it working (Using MarshalByRefObject and TransparentProxyInterceptor instead of using InterfaceInterceptor).

My question is – why hasn’t it been fixed? (Rhetorical question) Is this scheduled to be fixed and if so when?

Thanks,
Chanan.

Hi,

I've never came across this bug before or maybe I did and I just forgot it. Anyways, is this the post of David Hayden that are you referring to? http://www.davidhayden.com/blog/dave/archive/2007/04/29/PolicyInjectionApplicationBlockInterfaceBugs.aspx .

I'm not sure why this hasn't been fixed yet but if you havent voted for this on the issue tracker, you should - http://entlib.codeplex.com/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=10265.  This one seems related - http://entlib.codeplex.com/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=20391.
