Hi all,

first of all forgive me if someone already notify this bug, I tried a quick search but I didn't find already in this forum.

What happened is the following:

I've done an asp.net web site with Policy Injection and Logging, with two different config files for each section according to the syntax:

<

policyInjection configSource="PIAB.config"/>

<

loggingConfiguration configSource="logging.config" />

If I edit the web.config with the Enterprise Library Configuration (both inside and outside Visual Studio) I can look rightly the tree with my external files sections, but when I saved it flat all in the web.config file ignoring my external links.

Any idea?

TIA, HAND

Hi,

I have successfully repro your problem and yes, you are right about that. but i found a post http://www.codeplex.com/entlib/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=10795 saying that it is a drawback of using the "configSource", however, there is a way to get around to that, please see this :  http://dotnetlog.com/archive/2006/09/25/using-external-config-file-with-entlib-20.aspx .
