Security Application Block and ElntLib 6

We have an application we are developing which already makes use of the EntLib 6 Data Access Application Block, and now we are looking at security for a future release. The capabilities of AzMan and the Security Application Block seem to be a fit, but it is absent from EntLib 6. Is there a reason for this? Is there something in the framework now which replaces this? Or is the 5.0 Security Application Block useable in an application which otherwise uses EntLib 6?

Thanks

The Security Application Block has been deprecated and removed from the Enterprise Library 6 release (along with the Caching Application Block and the Cryptography Application Block). I recommend reading On deprecation for the approach the team has taken. Perhaps Windows Identity Foundation can provide the functionality you need?

I think you should be able to run 2 versions of Enterprise Library side by side if you install in the GAC. If the Security Application Block is very important to you you also might consider using Enterprise Library 5 -- the Data Access Application Block functionality is the same.
