Logging and Policy Injection’s Logging Handler to same Trace Listener file instance (creates separate file)

Topics: Logging Application Block, Policy Injection Application Block

I configured my application to have ‘Logging Application Block’ and ‘Policy Injection Application Block’.  Both LAB and PIAB’s Logging Handler bound to the same file trace listener.

When I run the program, which invoke the PIAB’s Logging Handler and write something to log, it generates separate log file using {logFileName} and {GUID}{logFileName}. Is there any way to have LAB and PIAB to log to the same trace listener file instance?

Set the UseDefaultLogger property of the LoggingHandler to true.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your reply. Actually the LoggingHandler that I'm referring to is the PIAB's CallHandler (LogCallHandler). There is not UseDefaultLogger property on the LogCallHandler.

Thanks and Regards,

Sorry, I just got used to that question, thought that this is the same one.  Anyway, see this thread - http://www.codeplex.com/entlib/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=29703
