Using ASP.NET 2.0 Forms Authentication with Security App Block providers

The ASP.NET 2.0 Forms Authentication Components are easy and dependable - all the way back to their origins in early Commerce Servers.

But the Guidance frameworks, such as Web Client like the Enterprise Library Security Providers.

I found one example where they seem to be connected, at least at the point of entry:

However a lot of searching turned up nothing that gives me confidence that this is a common scenario.

Anyone have any insight about the consequences or experience with the integration of these two groups of components?

You can use the pure ASP.NET Forms Authentication to authenticate a user since the Authentication and profile providers of Ent lib aren't available since v2. Another related post, see this:
