VAB - What about masked values?

Topics: Validation Application Block

Hello Again,

Now I have a doubt regarding masked values and Validation Block.

How does it work? I mean... I can't include in my validation the removal of dots, slashes or things like this. And if I do it on the code behind I can't use the property proxy validator.

Does any one have an example using the VAB in web applications with masked values?

Hi Roberto,

You have the ability to specify a custom type conversion event handler and take care of stripping the mask characters there. You can look at the test projects for the validation block for examples, particularly Blocks\Validation\Tests\Integration.AspNet.Tests\Web\ValidationWithCustomTypeConversion.aspx.

Hope this helps,
