I have been reading the EntPr lib documentation and there is a mention of using SQL as a config soure and I quote"

"You can use the sample SQL configuration source that is available from the Enterprise Library community site at http://entlib.codeplex.com to store your configuration in a database."

Can someone tell me where I can find this sample?

Here is another section from MS where a similar claim is made:

A QuickStart sample named SqlConfiguration that implements an example SQL Configuration Source to demonstrate how you can store configuration information in a database is available from the Enterprise Library Contrib Web site. This provider uses the Data Access Application Block to read configuration settings from a SQL Server© database.

We'll need to ask the EntLib team about this.  In the previous versions, its source code is included in the QuickStarts folder, you can check that out.

We pulled the quickstarts out of the entlib download because they were mostly a repeat of the much superior hands-on-labs. Except for the Sql Configuration Source. It still needs a little work on it, but we've been swamped with other stuff and it just hasn't percolated to the top of the stack yet. Best laid plans and all that.

Hi Chris,

Can I safely assume you will eventially provide the Sql Configuration Source again for entlib 5.0?

Any idea when this would be? eg within the next 3 months?

Grigori owns the schedule, and he's on vacation right now.
