I have set up a custom trace listener to store log information in a custom SQL Table and it works fine. The question I have is how to set up a backup location in case the sql server goes down then the Enterpise Library will automatically log the information to a backup location whether that be a file or windows log. I don't want the information written to both locations I kow I can do that. I only want the secondary location used if the primary listener fails to conenc to the SQL Database

Is this possible and how would I configure it?

Thanks

Joe

Sorry for the interruption but I was wondering if you could share how you were able to log to your custom SQL table? I have been trying for a few days with no luck.

Thanks,
Bob

Send me an email and I can send you back an example of how to do it with a custom listener. It took me a while searching around to figure it out then it was quite simple.
