What does your connection string look like? I think you're trying to do something SqlServer 2000 doesn't support. You would get the same error regardless of the tool you use to access it.

Thanks fsimonazzi for replying .

I don't know that Ent Lib doesn't support SQL 2000, but I can connect to Northwind database in SQL 2000 .
Here is my SQL connection which connect to Northwind database .
code
<connectionStrings>
<add name="_LocalSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.;Initial Catalog=Northwind;User ID=sa;Password=852456****258654;User Instance=False"
providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
</connectionStrings>
/code

I got the problem as above because I set User Instance property in my sql Connection = True . Now my problem have solved , but I'm not good at using Ent Lib 3.1 .

Hi,

This is not an issue of entlib not supporting SQL 2000, but instead that SQL 2000 does not support the feature you're requesting in your connection string. This feature is supported by SQL Server 2005 Express (see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms254504(VS.80).aspx.
