Cryptography Symmetric Provider decrypted in SQL

We have been using the Cryptography Application Block for over a year now without any operational issues. There is one thing that comes up from time to time that seems to be causing headaches more often than anticipated. After using the TripleDesCryptoServiceProvider I haven't been able to decrypt it inside of SQL server 2005. So I have tried to accomplish this under the assumption that given the same key source "some text" both when the key is generated through the configuration tool and inside of a create symmetric key statement using the same symmetric algorithm in sql server that we would be able to decrypt our encrypted data values when necessary on sql server. Is this possible? Any help to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Has anybody tried this?
