Hi All,

How to specify storageProvider in Enterprise Library 3.1?
In previous versions, we could do this,
<enterpriselibrary.configurationSettings xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" applicationName="Exception Handling & Notification" xmlns="http://www.microsoft.com/practices/enterpriselibrary/08-31-2004/configuration">
<configurationSections>
<configurationSection xsi:type="ReadOnlyConfigurationSectionData"
name="loggingConfiguration" encrypt="false">
<storageProvider xsi:type="XmlFileStorageProviderData" name="XML File Storage
Provider" path="loggingConfiguration.config" />
<dataTransformer xsi:type="XmlSerializerTransformerData" name="Xml Serializer Transformer">
<includeTypes />
</dataTransformer>
</configurationSection>
</configurationSections>

Hi,

Configuration support was heavily modified in Entlib Jan 2006 to leverage the new .NET framework 2.0 configuration capabilities, and the concept of a storage provider is no longer available.

Please refer to the integrated thelp for more information. You can also look at this blog post from David Hayden describing the transition http://www.codeplex.com/entlib/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=8877.

Fernando
